Walking in the local city or even suburb we spot them. Who might you ask, the infamous shorts with stocking girls. We ask are selves, "hmmm....can I pull off that", or "What in the H*ll". Either way they interest us and at the very least get us talking and our fashion brains thinking. I must admit to me it's the style of the shorts that interest me the most as well as the color and texture of the tights. I am all for wild and crazy but in this situation I like cohesion and practicality. I really dislike the look of denim shorts with tights/stockings. Summer style shorts should stay in the summer or be worn with out the adding of tights. Practical to me is heavy knit tights with a cord short or textured lace tights with a solid black dress short. When deciding to wear such a season specific style such as a short you must think of length but most importantly, fabrication. The Do's: mix solids with textures, compliment colors, and wear appropriate lengths. Dont's: pick unflattering styles and colors, cut off or short shorts, and denim shorts.
