Rewind for the Wardrobe

Depending on your age, browsing in any apparel stores now feels as if your Doctor Who traveling in time. The crazy part is that it's not one specific time but instead an opus or hodge podge of  the past styles, trends, color stories, etc. In my personal observation I am seeing trends from era's such as the 50's, 60's, 70's and 90's. Fashion wise these decades all have those specific elements in fashion history that has become a staple or a well remembered fad. Currently though their are certain aspects I have found to be pulled from these decades that are going to be hot for spring. The key thing though is to make the look your own be creative with it!

The 50's
I am seeing A-line skirts, women's separates or suits, and synched waists by usage of belts. Emphasis on hour glass shape. Red/Coral lipstick, Pin up hair style.

The 60's
Bright colors, color blocking, the cape, shift dresses, platform shoes, geometric costume jewelry. Bangs for hair

The 70's
Make -up with cool tones focus on the eyes, Long smooth tresses for hair, long skirts and dresses, Native/tribal prints, high waist pants, wide brim hats, artisan jewelry.

The 90's
Bed head hair, neutral makeup with a bold lip, denim, floral print, skinny fit pant, body hugging dresses, plaid, loose fit "boyfriend", blazers
