My Favorite Weed inspired Fashions!

    Well as most people know at least in the states that the date 4/20 is a holiday. When I say holiday I really mean a day to spoke pot, watch some trippy movies and chill out. Even this slacker inspired day can inspire fashion, trends, or even popular culture. I love the fact that some great fashion ideas or items have stemmed from a plant who makes people happy.

1) Plaid Shirts and washed out denim- Sure this look screams Seattle grunge but hey who saids grunge was supposed to be clean cut.

2) Hemp Hoodies and Ponchos- these babies reamerged in the 60's, 90's, and 2000's originally native in origin but popularly known has hippie wear.....and we know what hippies like to do!

3) Alternative Fibers- most pot heads true pot heads are actually philosophical and believe in the wonders of the natural world, most push for sustainable, or recycled fibers in clothing. There are some who do just like creating neat things when toking up.

4) LCD Clothing - no black light needed you are a walking black light. This idea and concept reminds you of Tron, and that alone will inspire a greener pasture, if you catch my drift.

I am sure all these fashions were not for sure inspired by Mary Jane but they sure make you think of her when you see them.

What is Ideal Hair for Curly Textures

     Funny it seems that so many women of all backgrounds, even some men seek the ideal hair and texture. That is the question isn't it, what is the perfect hair and texture. Speaking as a young lady with such a diverse background I have pondered this question most of my life. I have very curly hair naturally, and always have been amazed by the lack of women in mainstream and popular culture rock the natural hair. I suppose technically speaking I would be considered of a woman of color. The simple fact of the hair ideal is that ideal hair for someone should be healthy hair. I have relaxed, dyed, blow dried, braided, pin curled, etc; you name it I've done it.
    Proper hair care it seems is like becoming a vegan or vegetarian it trial by error with hair care products. Ive used commercial products, organic, salon brands, specialty brands (for women of color or curly hair). I found that natural hair care products seem to be the best for naturally curly hair. It also seems that there has been break through for curly hair that allow for healthy. Now most people like myself do like change, so we straighten our hair, using certain products create a healthy base for heated tools such as straighteners, curling irons etc. My favorite products are anything by Jane Carter solutions, I personally love scalp nourishing serum. I also have heard great things about Carol's Daughter's brands as well but I personally never tried. Curly hair need moisture and constant care, If you value your locks feed it with the best and you will see that your hair will grow faster and become more resilient against the elements.

Music & Your Mood

    Music and my ever changing moods always seems to effect how I dress. I guess some of us go through phases but for me it's alot like the movie Ghost World. Try listening to a different group, type or even period of music and notice how your fashion decisions change or might be slightly influenced. It's always good to modernize and of course personalize the type of fashion choices influenced by music. Face it music is audio art so paint a visual and use yourself as the canvas.

     If your a fan of one of the most sexually expressive minds in fashion then you what to be in Montreal, Canada. Why, well first of all Canada is awesome but also French designer Jean-Paul Gautier fashion works will be on display for almost 5 months starting June 17th and ending October 2. It will be showing his works from his early works in the 1970's to his more expressive designs of the present. It will be shown at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
